Government of India Ministry of Railways has launched 139-Rail Sampark where using the SMS Service IRCTC Train Passengers or travellers can know PNR Status, Current Train running position, Accommodation availability and Fare Enquiry, Trai Time table and other by sending a sms to 139.

PNR Status SMS

Using IRCTC SMS Service you can know details like PNR Status, Train Arrival/Departure Enquiry, Accommodation availability, Fare enquiry, Train Time table, Spot or Locate train.

You can know your ticket status Enquiry by SMS just send SMS in below to 139

Format: PNR 10DigitPNRNumber

Example: PNR 4850382039 and send sms to 139

PNR Status SMS Missed Call

Call 139 IRCTC IVR short code number and choose language it will ask you to enter your PNR number which is 10 digit, enter and know the PNR status by Call.

For Train Arrival or Departure

You can know Train Arrival Departure Time by sms

Format: AD TrainNumber STDCode

Example: AD 12931 022 and send sms to 139

Seat Accommodation Availability

Format: SEAT TrainNumber DateofJourney (Station from: STD code) (station to: STD code) (class) (Quota)

Example: SEAT 12931 121021 022 040 SL G

For Fare Enquiry

Format: FARE TrainNumber DateofJourney (Station from: STD code) (station to: STD code) (class) (Quota)

For Example FARE 12931 121021 022 040 SL G

For Train Time Table

Format: TIME TrainNumber

Example: TIME 12931

Locate Train Status By SMS

Now you can locate the exact location of the Train you want just by sms.

Format: SPOT TrainNumber or

Format: LOCATE TrainNumber

Example: SPOT 12931 or LOCATE 12931

Note: Sending sms to 139 will be charged at Rs 3 per sms.
