How to Close or Cancel SBI Credit Card Permanently

If you are a SBI Credit Card and would like to close/cancel your SBI Credit Card then you can do it easily by following below methods.

Close SBI Credit Card

You can close the SBI Credit Card by calling below SBI Card Helpline numbers.

Dial 18605001290, 18601801290, 39020202(Prefix local the STD code)

SBI Card customer care executives are available from 8AM – 8PM from Monday to Saturday.

Call the Customer Care and request for the cancellation of SBI Credit card.

You can close your SBI Credit Card Account by writing an email to SBI Card Care.

Once you have done the written request for the closure of SBI Card then, all the cards including the add-on cards will be terminated.

Before approaching the customer care for closure/cancel of the SBI card make sure you have cleared your billing or statement.

The SBI Cardholder Account will not be considered as closed until you have paid all the due amount.

Once you followed above steps then SBI Cards and Payment Services Limited will close your SBI Card Permanently.

Note: An new rule from RBI came which says The card issuer/cc company has to update the closure of of the card with the Credit Information Company within a period of 30 days. If it is delayed then you will paid Rs 500 per day.

Get SBI Credit Card OTP By Sending SMS To 5676791 for IVR Online Transactions

If you are a SBI Credit Card Customer doing any online transaction using your SBI Credit card and not received sbi card otp or sbi card otp not coming then you can manually Request for One Time Password OTP for IVR or mobile transactions using SBI Card SMS Service. See below how to get SBI Card OTP by SMS.

SBI Credit Card OTP

From your registered mobile number you need to send a SMS in below format to 5676791.

SBI Credit Card OTP by SMS

Format: OTP Last4DigitsCreditCardNumber

Example: OTP 2910 and send sms to 5676791

Upon sending SMS You will receive a SMS which contains a 6 digit OTP of your SBI Credit Card like below.

142304 is OTP for Trxn. of Rs. 279.00 at PAY with SBI Credit Card ending 10. OTP is valid for 10 mins. Do not share it with anyone.

Now just enter the received OTP on the 3D Secure page to authenticate your transaction.

SBI Credit Card OTP Validity for VISA/ Master Card/ American Express Cards is 10 minutes and for Rupay Cards OTP validity is 8 mins.

Sending SMS to 5676791 will be charged at Rs 3 Per SMS.
